Before even going to camp, it is always a must to check the condition of the tent, including the parts such poles and pegs. 

For the first timers, it is always wise to practice pitching at home and follow the guide comes with the tent.


At the campsite, find a flat and most durable surface. 

Generally, is the best to pitch a tent in areas that are so highly impacted that pitching of another tent will not have further impact on vegetation. 

One must always check the ground for any insect nest, such ants, wasps, or termites.

Campfires should be built only in fire rings. Established camping grounds usually have one. However, check if the building fires are allowed; sometime they do not allow it. Always evaluate the site before starting a fire. It the site is bushy or has love hanging branches.
